The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is pushing the boundaries of innovation across a wide range of initiatives in advanced manufacturing.
Vidya Kishore is a student with the Bredesen Center who is able to research Advanced Manufacturing because of the UT-ORNL center.
Assistant Professor Brett Compton talks about the future of advanced manufacturing with research at UT and ORNL.
“With this award, UT continues to expand its research portfolio with the Department of Defense and, in particular, this opportunity with the Office of Naval Research,” said Victor McCrary, vice chancellor for research. “Dr. Babu is a prime example of the university’s research excellence.”
“Through our centers, labs, and researchers we have built a reputation in a number of advanced manufacturing areas, from 3D printing to the use of new fibers and techniques,” said Taylor Eighmy, vice chancellor for research and engagement.
