CBE Assistant Professor Steven Abel, above center, was nominated by students and selected by the Office of Undergraduate Research to receive an Undergraduate Research Faculty Mentor of the Year Award for the college. Faculty must have been nominated by multiple students and at least one of those students must have presented at EURēCA.

Abel was surprised with the award at the beginning of his class on Monday, April 22. Presenting above are CBE Career Development Associate Professor Eric Boder and Marisa Moazen, assistant vice chancellor for research engagement and
director of the Office of Undergraduate Research.
