Staff Spotlight: Shelby Carter Joins the Office of Academic and Student Affairs

Shelby Carter joined the college this year as the new administrative specialist in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. In this role, she often deals with scholarships awarded through the college, and she serves the Dean of Academic and Student Affairs with student matters. Carter also helps coordinate the annual Engineers Day on campus.

NE senior Amanda Bachmann won the Women in Nuclear Region II Leadership Award at the US Women in Nuclear Region II Conference held in Oak Ridge, April 10–12, topping two finalists in the professional sector.


Record Number of UT Students Honored by American Nuclear Society

“This is a tremendous accomplishment for our students and a reflection of the strengthening of our program over the last decade,” said Wes Hines, head of the department. “Being able to have some of the top students in the country — as acknowledged by these selections — is a key to that growth.”
