The college rose three spots to 34th in the latest US News and World Report and the computer science program ranked 40th among public schools in a new category.
The metallurgy discipline in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering was recently named first in the US and sixth in the world.
“We’re very pleased with our continued improvement in the US News rankings and in the growth and success that it reflects in our college,” said Dean Wayne Davis.
The Tickle College of Engineering is ranked 34th among all public universities in the 2018 U.S. News and World Report undergraduate rankings released Tuesday, September 12.
