John D. Tickle Professor Joshua Fu, above, was invited to speak at the Expert Meeting on Measurement-Model Fusion for Global Total Atmospheric Deposition (MMF-GTAD), held at the World Meteorological Organization Headquarters (WMO) in Geneva, Switzerland, in late February.

Six CEE Students Snag Scholarships

The Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) recently awarded six CEE students with scholarships at its All Engineers Banquet in conjunction with Engineer’s Week.

The students awarded include the following juniors and seniors:

  • Luke Edwards, junior
  • Lauren Meffe, junior
  • Zachary Jerome, senior
  • Katie Lance, senior
  • Cameron Neary, senior
  • Jonathan West, senior

Engineering Vols Win Traffic Bowl

The annual Tennessee Section Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Traffic Bowl was hosted at Tennessee State University in Nashville on February 27. Three teams competed for the title this year: UT, the University of Memphis, and TSU.

The UT students made a comeback in the final round to beat University of Memphis, making this win the 6th title for UT since 2011.
