Enexor BioEnergy, a renewable energy and carbon conversion solution for the world’s organic, biomass, and plastic waste problems, today announced that it has been awarded a grant to provide advanced testing services for an innovative high-temperature ceramic filter technology by RevV, a program created by a partnership between the state of Tennessee, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
This project for the Franklin-based company is being overseen by UT’s Fred N. Peebles Professor and JIAM Chair of Excellence Dayakar Penumadu.
“Engaging with our laboratory at UT through the RevV Program, we will provide the ceramic fiber characterization, optical, laser, and electron microscopy, strength testing, and gas flow analysis to accelerate this filter development and enable Enexor to obtain all of this critical testing information from a single source,” said Penumadu. “This, in turn, will significantly improve the probability of success and expedite commercialization of these filters, both in Enexor’s renewable energy system and for other commercial applications.”

Penumadu’s work is developing and implementing a new type of ceramic filter to make the zero-carbon energy production possible.
