UT’s Tau Beta Pi (TBP) engineering honor society celebrated its fall 2021 initiation banquet on November 16 at Calhoun’s on the River. This was their first in-person initiation event since the onset of COVID-19.

Eastman Chemical Company sponsored the event. TCE alumnus and TBP member Mark Cox, Sr., was the event speaker. He is Eastman’s VP, Chief Manufacturing and Engineering Office.

TBP President Lauren Eccles and Initiation Chair Constance Anderson bestowed initiate certificates and pins at the banquet, held twice annually after fall and spring Tau Beta Pi initiation ceremonies. Attendees included the new initiates, district directors, event volunteers, the district director of TBP, and service chair Emma Drum.
