Kilic Chosen to Represent UT at June HERS Institute
Ozlem Kilic, associate dean for academic and student affairs will attend the 2022 Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Leadership Institute’s program, June 7–16, in Denver, Colorado. She is sponsored for the program by UT’s Commission for Women, Chancellor Donde Plowman, and Vice Chancellor Tyvi Small.
“I am looking forward to participating in this program to be a skillful advocate of timely change and implementation of strategic initiatives for UTK for an accessible and attainable education that prepares our students well for the future in rapidly changing times,” said Kilic. “I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity UTK leadership has given me.”
Chancellor Plowman and the Commission for Women sponsor an outstanding UT woman for this program each year. HERS has a sterling reputation for expanding horizons, providing exposure to new and exciting ideas, fostering enduring mentoring relationships, and preparing women for institutional leadership roles. The program reviews hundreds of applications to establish an inclusive class which approximates the experience and expertise found within higher education institutions.
They seek a rich representation of innovative thoughts and ideas from across all higher education sectors. Sessions modules for the June event include innovation and systemic change, communicating change, inclusive leadership, team (re)building, self and institutional leadership.
