The Tickle College of Engineering has created and will host the Summer Engineering Advancement (SEA) program.
The focus of SEA is to provide underrepresented pre-calculus ready students majoring in engineering an opportunity to advance to calculus beginning in the fall. SEA offers students an overview of courses required in their freshman curriculum in engineering with a particular emphasis on mathematics. This preliminary exposure to the academic environment of higher education develops academic success skills in the students.
SEA will provide participants with opportunities to prepare for the collegiate environment as they develop academic, study, and personal skills while also engaging in career exploration. This residential summer experience will offer introductory courses in pre-calculus, introduction to engineering fundamentals, as well as college life workshops/presentations. Students who are accepted to SEA will attend free of charge. Tickle College of Engineering students should complete the online application.
The 2019 tentative dates will be from June 12 to July 3. Application documents should be sent via postal mail. We begin selection in March 2019 and continue to notify students until all slots are full.

Students interested in the SEA program are also encouraged to register for the following New Student Orientation Sessions:
