This scholarship awards African-American students in the Tickle College of Engineering who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and financial need.
Selection
The selection of the recipient for the James T. Pippin Diversity Engineering Scholarship will be made by the Office of Diversity Programs and the TCE Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate African American engineering student making satisfactory progress toward an engineering degree.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be in good standing academically with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
- Must be a member of the UT chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the student organization for their major e.g. IEEE, ASCE, etc.
- Must have shown appropriate participation in student activities with the college and the university.
