Priority Event Access

Members will receive priority access and recognition at the Engineering Expo and Engineering Cookout, including booth selection and the option for up to two booth spaces. 

TEN Leadership Luncheon

Attend the TEN Leadership Luncheon prior to the fall Engineering Expo where you can meet with student organizations, allowing for early interaction with student leaders.  

Recognition at Annual Events

Checkerboard members will receive an invitation for a select number of guests to our annual J. Michael Stone Leadership and Professional Practice Awards Banquet where your company’s commitment to engineering excellence will be acknowledged.  

Advisory Role

Members can participate at the executive level on a college industry advisory board, influencing the future direction of engineering education and collaboration.

Employer Spotlights

Join our Engineering Vols on their way to and from classes for the day! Host a table with your recruiters in one of our newest engineering buildings to connect, network, and share more about your company with our students.

Level Up Series: Networking at Noon

The Networking at Noon series is an excellent opportunity to connect with Engineering Vols through a one-hour showcase of their organization. To encourage attendance, we ask that members provide lunch for students.

Level Up Series: Networking at Night

The Networking at Night event is designed for employers to foster meaningful, one-on-one conversations between employers and students—offering the opportunity for personalized insight on your topic of choice. Companies are encouraged to bring five or more representatives to maximize engagement with our students.

Level Up Your Expo Game

The Level Up Your Expo Game event is a two-hour session designed for employers to provide hands-on coaching and insights to students on key skills like resume building, elevator pitches, interview techniques, and more. The event begins with a panel featuring Summit Blue members followed by a tabling event to facilitate one-on-one conversations with students.

Engineering Cookout

The Engineering Cookout is a fall tradition for the college to welcome engineering students and introduce them to EPP. This event offers the chance to connect directly with more than 1,000 Engineering Vols as they learn more about co-ops and internship opportunities. This event is open to all engineering students, faculty, and staff making this a great event to promote your organization to the campus community.

TEN Student Leadership Luncheon

This kickoff event for the Engineering Expo is an exclusive luncheon that brings together our top-tier student leaders with our select employer partners. This one-on-one networking opportunity provides an elevated environment for deeper conversations, early access to talent, and the ability to create relationships with some of our top talent.

Engineering Expo

This semi-annual event is a high-impact open forum for you to connect with students actively seeking co-ops, internships, and full-time opportunities. Participating employers will gain visibility with Engineering Vols from all disciplines interested in hearing about your company’s opportunities, culture, and values. In addition to the Engineering Expo, employers can sign up for Interview Day where you can set up one-on-one interviews with our students.

J. Michael Stone Leadership and Professional Practice Awards Banquet

The Office of Engineering Professional Practice’s annual awards banquet is a premier celebration honoring engineering students who have excelled in their co-op and internship experiences. The event also brings together corporate partners and alumni, giving your company a unique opportunity to network with high-achieving students and connect with current and future industry leaders.
