Ways to Give

There are many vehicles you can use to support a priority. If you have questions, connect with one of our experienced philanthropy professionals.

Give Online:

Use the Fund Selection search to find the area or program you wish to support, or select “Other Fund Not Listed” and type in the area to support.

Give by Mail:

Checks should be made payable to the University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc.

Please mail to:
UT Foundation
1525 University Avenue
Knoxville, TN 37921

Please include a note that clarifies the UT fund(s) or area(s) you wish to support. If giving through a donor advised fund (DAF), please ask them to also indicate the gift is on behalf of you.

Company matching gifts:

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. Check with your employer to see if they offer you or your spouse this benefit, or visit https://giving.utk.edu/matching-gifts/.

Giving via stocks or securities:

There can be significant tax advantages for donors choosing to transfer securities as a charitable gift. Please visit UTFI’s stocks and securities page for full details, including information your broker will need for the transaction and information UT will need to identify the gift is from you.

Giving via wire transfer or direct deposit:

Please visit UTFI’s wire transfers page for full details, including information your financial institution will need for the transaction and information UT will need to identify the gift is from you.

Giving through estate planning:

There are many options to help advance the university and enrich the lives of our students by including a gift to UT in your overall estate or financial plans. A little planning can help you leave a legacy on Rocky Top, while also providing you with tax benefits.

UT raises funds through the University of Tennessee Foundation, an independent nonprofit corporation that seeks to enrich the lives of UT students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends through alumni engagement, financial stewardship, and private investments. The Foundation is the preferred channel for all private contributions benefiting faculty and students at the University of Tennessee System.
