Scheduling an Advising Appointment

The Engineering Advising Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time Zone) except for major holidays or university closings.

Current UT Engineering Students

As a current student, you may also reach out to your advisor by email, phone, or during posted drop-in times. View your advisor’s contact information.

If you are a current UT student in the Tickle College of Engineering, you will receive a Vol Connect email inviting you to schedule your advising appointment.

Current UT Students, Non-Engineering Majors or Prospective Students

Current UT students not in an engineering major, or prospective high school or transfer students, are welcome to make an appointment with one of our advisors to discuss options for switching into our program.  Please fill out this form that will provide us with information to help us in assisting you.  Once you complete the form, you will be able to make an appointment with one of our available advisors.

Current UT students not in an engineering major may schedule “To Engineering” advising appointments using Vol Connect in MyUTK. Typically, “To Engineering” appointments will be available for the Engineering Advising Office starting the middle of each semester.

The Office of the University Registrar assigns registration dates and times to each student. It is our goal to make sure you are advised prior to your assigned registration date/time. Students with questions about their registration date/time should visit the One Stop Student Services.

If you have decided to change your major to another college/major at the University of Tennessee, please contact that college’s advising center to schedule an appointment to discuss changing your major. View a list of other college advising centers.
