Winners of the Alcoa and URS – College of Engineering Study Abroad Fellowships have been announced for Summer 2015!
The College is very pleased to be able to respond to the increased demand for College of Engineering faculty-led study abroad programs with substantial fellowship support this year. Some of the Alcoa and URS Fellowship winners are pictured below. All will be participating in the Outreach blog, so fellow students can share their experiences.
The winners are:
Kelli Grissom and Zane Rider will be part of the group traveling to Innsbruck, Austria, with Dr. Glenn Tootle to study Water Resources and Climate in the European Alps.
Nuclear engineering students Alyxandria Wszolek, Nitant Patel, Dane de Wet, Hadyn Dougherty, and Adam Hasse will be a part of a group traveling to Prague, Czech Republic, with Dr. Ondrej Chvala for Nuclear Research Reactor Laboratory with visits to nearby nuclear facilities.
Daniel Colburn, Cody Orick, Graham Jones, Elissa Heckman, Libby Fortunato, Andrew Farlett, Kyle Bashour, Andrew Bennett, Jia Rong Chong, Caroline Hill, Treavor Johnson, Tyler Steussi, Sam Walters, and Justin Boling will be part of a group traveling to London, England, for Engineering In London.
Students will be taking two of three course offerings in Thermodynamics, Circuits and Devices, and Development of Computation.
UT faculty members are Dr. Roger Parsons and Dr. Mike Berry.

On non-UT-TCE programs, Lana Bednarczyk, industrial engineering, will be studying with the UT-Honors at Cambridge program in Cambridge, England; Parker Dulin, biosystems engineering, will be studying environmental science in Leuven, Belgium; Seth Gilliland, civil engineering, will be studying with the UT-Honors at Oxford, Oxford, England; and Brian Shin, chemical engineering, will be studying Spanish language and business in Barcelona, Spain.
