Lori Houser, human resources specialist in the EECS department, has been a member of the Big Orange family for nine years. her primary duties include new-hire paperwork, posting positions, pay changes and tuition moves, as well as international paperwork and work-permission updates.
Houser is also available to help faculty with questions regarding payroll.
She is a Knoxville native and previously worked in human resources with Knox County schools for eight years before joining the UT staff.
Outside of work, Houser likes to spend time with her husband, Keith, of twenty four years and her children, Austin and Lauren, and also their three four-legged children: a very tiny Chihuahua, Duchess; a Frenchton called Letty; and their “big boy,” an American Bully named Country, a.k.a. Big Country.
Houser is also an avid car lover, and enjoys auto racing.
“We own a couple of Mustangs,” said Houser. “We love to be on the lake, and camping. I also enjoy refinishing furniture and painting.”
