“We have experts in advanced materials, in polymers, in additive and subtractive techniques, and in metals,” said Doug Aaron, assistant head of undergraduate programs in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering (MABE), who is overseeing the new program.
“I have worked at UT for 12 years,” said Hale. “A little over seven in the main payroll office on campus, three years in mechanical, aerospace, and biomedical engineering as administrative specialist, and going on 2 years in nuclear engineering.”

“Involving engineering students with publicizing the traditions of the Pride of the Southland was a real ‘two-fer’,” said Martin. “It combined real-world experience in a project of lasting value for the engineers and a fitting tribute to the band’s impact on campus.”

“Believe it or not, there are a lot of similarities between working with preschoolers and elementary age students and working with college students,” she said.
I am pleased to be taking on this new responsibility and in helping faculty candidates gain a better understanding of what is going on here in the college and at UT.
