Our department has one of the largest undergraduate scholarship programs at UT with more than half of our students receiving scholarship support. High-school seniors with grade-point-averages of 3.0 or better are eligible to apply for a departmental tuition scholarship. Assuming certain academic requirements are met, the scholarship is renewable for four years. These MSE-specific scholarships are independent of other sources of financial aid from UT and fall into the following ranges:

First Year	$800–$1,200
Sophomore Year	$1,200–$1,600
Junior Year	$1,600–$2,100
Senior Year	$2,100–$2,600

To apply for an MSE scholarship, current students can complete and submit the online application form provided by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering’s Scholarship Committee. Incoming students will receive an invitation from the department to apply.
