The department offers in person visits for prospective students to tour facilities and meet with current students and faculty. This is a great way to learn more about what the department has to offer. For undergraduate students, we recommend pairing this experience with a Tickle College of Engineering tour or campus tour.
To request a department tour, please complete the form below at least two weeks prior to your desired tour date.
Location and Parking
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is located in the Ferris Hall building on the far east side of campus. The administrative and business offices are located in Ferris Hall room 414. To obtain a guest parking pass for surrounding staff parking areas, please contact Stephanie Moore at (865) 974-5336.
