Brandon Rowell’s Printing For Patients project brings computer-based drawing & 3-d printing to sick kids at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital who probably wish they could be anywhere else.

As welcomed of a distraction as it may be, this project’s value extends far beyond entertainment: the goal is also to kindle an early & widespread interest in materials science among youngsters.
