Scheduling an Advising Appointment

The Engineering Advising Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time Zone) except for major holidays or university closings. We are located in room 160 of Zeanah Engineering Complex.

Current UT Engineering Students

Current UT Students, Non-Engineering Majors

Students interested in changing your major to Engineering:
Fall 2024 – October 15 -December 3, 2024

From MyUTK, select:

1. Academic Support
2. Vol Connect
3. Schedule appointment.
4. Select Tickle College of Engineering
   1. A list of available advisors and times appear.
5. Choose only from these advisors for a change of major:
   1. Greyson Dickey
   2. Brittany Hiller
   3. James Hughes
6. Select academic advising.
7. Select the date.
8. A list of advisors will appear, choose from Greyson Dickey, Brittany Hiller, or James Hughes.
   1. Select the time and type of advising, in-person or zoom/virtual.
   2. Then click scheduled.
   3. You will receive an email with your selected date, time and zoom link, if applicable.

Prospective Students

Visiting high school students, and visiting transfer students please call our office at 865-974-4008 to schedule an appointment.

The Office of the University Registrar assigns registration dates and times to each student. It is our goal to make sure you are advised prior to your assigned registration date/time. Students with questions about their registration date/time should visit the One Stop Student Services.

If you have decided to change your major to another college/major at the University of Tennessee, please contact that college’s advising center to schedule an appointment to discuss changing your major. View a list of other college advising centers.
