Aerospace Concentation
Tennessee’s aerospace sector is expanding with innovations in materials and propulsion technologies, cutting-edge fields that demand engineers equipped with hands-on experience. Our department’s aerospace program emphasizes experiential learning, ensuring students are well-versed in engineering principles and adept at applying them to solve real-world problems. Our students will graduate having used state-of-the-art laboratories while working on collaborative projects and engaging with industry partners.
Students graduating already trained in aerospace technologies will position Tennessee as a leader in both national defense and the rapidly expanding private aerospace sector. This capability will strengthen the state’s contributions to national security while enabling Tennessee and the surrounding region to capture high-value defense and commercial aerospace contracts, driving sustained economic growth and high-skill job creation across the state and beyond.
