Anahita Khojandi joined the department in August. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Pittsburgh, her MS in 2009 from Pittsburgh and BS in 2008 from Sharif University of Technology. Her research areas include Sequential Decision Making under Uncertainty, Medical Decision Making, Reliability, Maintenance Optimization, Supply Chain Management, Markov Decision Processes, Applied Probability, and Applied Statistics. She has papers accepted by IIE Transactions and INFORMS Journal on Computing. She was one finalist for Lee Lusted Awards from the Society of Medical Decision Making and received both Outstanding Research Assistant Award and Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Pittsburgh.
