Biography
Beau Schelble is an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He received his PhD degree in Human-Centered Computing from Clemson University in 2023. His research focuses on optimizing systems containing elements of human-AI interaction and teaming. Specifically, by focusing on emphasizing responsible AI systems, trust development/maintenance, shared knowledge development, and supporting situational awareness through information-sharing. This research has applications across a variety of applied fields such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, emergency services, defense, and education. Schelble is active in communities such as IEEE, HFES, ACM, and IISE.
