RME Minor

Reliability and Maintainability Engineering (RME) is a specialized field that focuses on design, analysis, and management of systems to ensure they perform reliably and can be easily sustained over their operational lifecycle. Our department offers an RME minor for those interested in understanding more of reliability and maintainability engineering which has broad applications in industries like aerospace defense, product design, the energy sector, and more.

Program Overview

The Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Minor program is offered by our department through a required fifteen hours of coursework. The curriculum consists of 6 hours of core credits, 3 hours of statistics or math credits, and 6 hours of electives designed to address the fundamentals and real-world applications of RME with a focus on principles of system performance and maintainability.
