Linda Watson is the accounting coordinator for the Tickle College of Engineering. She attends to an array of things like travel expenses, payables, contracts, and payroll expenses.

“I also work with students, faculty, and staff with any questions they may have regarding accounts and policies,” she said

Watson, originally from Wheeling, Illinois, has now lived in Knoxville for almost 34 years. She attended the University of Iowa and the University of Tennessee, where she has steadily remained working in the accounting and service area of business.

Before coming to UT, Watson and her husband previously owned a business in the medical software industry in the 90s until they sold their company in the early 2000s.

“After that I managed my father-in-law’s family practice until his retirement,” she said. “I was also a million-dollar producer in real estate.”

Outside of the office, Watson enjoys spending time with her husband of 34 years, Tim, and their three children.

“I really enjoy just spending time with my family and playing with my three grandchildren.”
