Bus Loading/Unloading Parking Information
Buses are encouraged to arrive on campus between 9–9:30 a.m. to unload students. The Engineers Day bus drop off location will be located on the south side of the Zeanah Engineering Complex on Lower Drive. Use this link to find the bus drop off location. The address is 1506 Middle Drive Knoxville, TN 37996, but follow the signs leading to the left at the split towards Lower Drive.
- Access Lower Drive via Middle Drive off of Philip Fulmer Way
- Follow volunteers’ instructions when staging and before moving to unloading zone
- Chaperones and students should proceed down the stairs to the registration tables outside of Zeanah Engineering Complex (For large groups, it may be easier for the high school leader/chaperone to retrieve registration materials before unloading students.)
Bus Parking on West Volunteer Blvd.
Please follow the directions below to the bus parking area(s) located on West Volunteer Blvd or at the Blackstock Parking Lot (this is for overflow parking only).
- Follow Lower Drive/Estabrook Road around to Cumberland Drive.
- Turn left at light onto Cumberland Drive.
- Turn left at light onto West Volunteer Blvd.
- Park alongside spaces between Volunteer Blvd and Joe Johnson Dr. (Please note that if the southbound spaces are full, it may be easier to turn left at the light to University Commons Way, then left at Joe Johnson Dr., then left onto West Volunteer Blvd to access the northbound spaces.)
- A parking attendant should be in this area to help navigate buses.
- Overflow Parking: If all the spaces on West Volunteer Blvd. are full, the city has provided overflow parking in the Blackstock Parking Lot located at 640 Blackstock Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921.
We will have a looping shuttle van to transport drivers or chaperones from the bus parking area(s) to/from the North Plaza of the Zeanah Engineering Complex during Engineers Day. Please locate the Engineers Day Bus Parking Driver Pick-Up signage at each location. (Note: For the West Volunteer Blvd. parking, the shuttle will pick up at the NC2 parking lot closest to Caledonia Ave and Volunteer Blvd.)
Parking for Personal Cars/Vans
Parking for personal cars/vans is in the G-10 Parking Garage located on Neyland Drive. A link was sent to registered attendees with information on securing your parking spot for the garage. If you have not registered a personal vehicle, there is guest parking on the ground and top levels of the G-10 Parking Garage for a fee.
Bus Loading Information (After Event)
Bus drivers and groups are encouraged to remain in contact so that loading can be organized and quick. There will be enough parking spaces for three buses to load. Please do not park in the designated loading zone so that others may use this zone. Buses will pick-up on Lower Drive where they dropped off students.
