Five faculty members and one student from the Tickle College of Engineering were honored at the spring Academic Honors Banquet.
Hosted by the Office of the Provost, the annual banquet celebrates academic and professional honors. The awards highlight individuals embodying the Volunteer spirit through extraordinary research and creative activity, impactful contributions to campus life, and leadership and service to the university and beyond.
The TCE members honored were:
- Luis Stand Stracuzzi (Research Assistant Professor, Scintillation Materials Research Center), Excellence in Advising
- Jian Liu (Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), Professional Promise in Research and Creative Achievement
- Vlad Sobes (Assistant Professor, Nuclear Engineering), Professional Promise in Research and Creative Achievement
- Jason Hayward (Professor, Nuclear Engineering), Research and Creative Achievement
- Marlya Zhuravleva (Asssociate Professor, Materials Science and Engineering), Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year
- Maria Hernandez Rivero (Computer Science), Undergraduate Researcher of the Year
