TCE Honored at Lab Safety Culture Awards

The Tickle College of Engineering was well represented at this year’s Laboratory Safety Culture Awards Dinner.

The December 11th event, held in the Student Union, celebrates individuals and teams shaping a strong, values-driven safety culture across the University of Tennessee.

TCE was honored with the Large Unit Award. Dean Matthew Mench, the Wayne T. Davis Dean’s Chair of TCE, accepted the award on behalf of the college.

The individual award winners from TCE included:

“It’s an honor for our college to get these awards and recognition,” Mench said. “It’s really a tribute to the people in charge of safety within TCE. We have a fantastic team, starting with Bill Dunne, who leads the overall effort, and people in each department who truly care about safety and the importance of it.”

The awards were selected by the voting team of the Lab Safety Culture Awards subcommittee.
