H. Lee Martin ends his 13-year run with the Tickle College of Engineering this fall, swinging into the next phase of his lifelong entrepreneurial journey. He recently launched a new recreational sports venture in west Knoxville, the Pavilion of Pickleball.

“It’s about fun, friends, and fitness,” he says, describing the fast-growing sport as “an age-out game for tennis players.”

Martin has been a professor of practice in our industrial and systems engineering department and the director of Engineering Entrepreneurship.
