The money will be used to purchase components for the hybrid vehicle the team is developing based on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UT Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering is one of sixteen schools chosen to be part of the EcoCAR competition, which pairs engineering students with business and communications students as part of the overall team goal of designing, marketing and advertising the vehicle.
