These must include a minimum of 24 hours in Doctoral Research and Dissertation (ME 601). Specific requirements for required course work are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\"><strong>With a BS degree:<\/strong> Students will be required to take a minimum of 42 hours of graduate course work, exclusive of ME 601, dissertation credit or seminar courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\"><strong>With a MS degree:<\/strong> Students will be required to take a minimum of 12 hours of graduate course work, exclusive of ME 601, dissertation credit or seminar courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All students must also complete:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\">A minimum of 9 credit hours of graduate coursework in mathematics courses numbered 400 or above with a minimum of 3 credit hours numbered 500 or above. The department may approve other courses with sufficient mathematical content to meet this requirement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\">A minimum of 21 credit hours of graduate coursework in mechanical engineering (ME) or other courses offered in MABE numbered 500 and above.
