Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs visited the Innovation and Collaboration Student to speak with faculty and staff about the college’s work in 3D-printing and manufacturing face-shields for healthcare workers in the fight against COVID-19.

Uday Vaidya, UT-ORNL Governor’s Chair, and Tom Duong, ICS academic support specialist, were there to talk to him about the work being done to produce the face shields and demonstrate some of the 3D-printers being used. Several other faculty and staff from the university spoke with Jacobs via Zoom.
