Her research interestsinclude optimization, machine learning, and statistical learning and their applications. Li\u2019s research has received several recognitions, including runner-up of the 2021 INFORMS Computing Society Student Paper Award, winner of the 2020 INFORMS Data Mining Section Student Paper Award, and winner of the 2019 MIP Poster Competition.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cAs a member of the University of Tennessee faculty, I am excited to educate, innovate, and positively impact our students and the dynamic academic community.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"orange-mark\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/faculty\/beau-schelble\/\">Beau Schelble<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Assistant Professor <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-806\" src=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Beau-Schelble-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Beau Schelble headshot\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Beau-Schelble-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Beau-Schelble.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Schelble\u2019s research focuses on optimizing systems containing elements of human-AI interaction and teaming. Specifically, by focusing on emphasizing responsible AI systems, trust development\/maintenance, shared knowledge development, and supporting situational awareness through information-sharing. This research has applications across a variety of applied fields, such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, emergency services, defense, and education. Schelble is active in communities such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe ISE department here at UT is well known for executing at a high level in both teaching and research, and I\u2019m looking forward to contributing to its continued success and growth.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"orange-mark\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/faculty\/hongyu-zheng\/\">Hongyu Zheng<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Assistant Professor<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-807\" src=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Hongyu-Zheng-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Hongyu Zheng headshot\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Hongyu-Zheng-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/ise\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/10\/Hongyu-Zheng.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Zheng joins UT after graduating from Northwestern University. His research interests lie in the analysis and management of electrified, autonomous, and shared transportation systems.
