His research interests are in optimization, reinforcement learning, and their applications in energy and science.<\/p>\n<p>Before Tennessee, Caleb received his PhD in operations research from the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial &amp; Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has also collaborated with Argonne National Laboratory, the National Laboratory of the Rockies, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.<\/p>\n<p>Caleb\u2019s research has been recognized by the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship and the Alice &amp; John Jarvis Best Paper Award, among other awards.
