The Knoxville chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers is hosting the IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference Feb. 21-23.
Students and professionals from across the region will be gathering in Knoxville to network, gain insights, explore career opportunities, and share best practices. This year’s conference theme is ISE: A World of Possibilities.
The conference sessions will be held at the UT Conference Center and Zeanah Engineering Complex. In partnership with the IISE organization, the Mid-Atlantic region will be holding a technical paper competition. The top three participants will win awards, and the first-place winner will advance to compete in the Undergraduate Technical Paper Competition Global Finals at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo in Atlanta, Georgia later this year.
Among the universities scheduled to attend are Liberty University, East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, Virginia Tech University, West Virginia University, North Carolina A&T University, Clemson University, and UT.
“We are thrilled to host the IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference this year in Knoxville,” said Knoxville Chapter President, Chase Post, a UT senior ISE major. “We look forward to sharing the magic of both the University of Tennessee and our excellent ISE program with talented students, faculty, and professionals.”
