Boo in the Courtyard 2017

Staff and faculty from multiple departments and engineering offices participated in the 2017 Boo in the Courtyard on Friday, October 27. This annual spirit competition inspires different sparks of creativity in every team.

This year’s winning teams were:

  • First Place: The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering presented a Roman senate, which turned on Julius Caesar (Department Head Chris Cox) after his announcement of new rules got a little out of hand.
  • Second Place: The Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science formed a league— a Justice League, complete with Batman (Department Head Leon Tolbert) arriving in a Batmobile.
  • Third Place: The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering celebrated the Day of the Dead with their haunting costume theme.

The Department of Nuclear Engineering
The Department of Nuclear Engineering entertained with their “Herd of Cats” concept, complete with cat-herding Department Head Wes Hines. His cat-herding tools were a laser pointer and a stick horse.
