Supporting Female

Engineers

The college is committed to outreach and retention efforts to increase the number of female engineering students at UT. EDP supports the efforts of our young women through female-focused events, mentoring, and events including WomEngineers Day, a biennial event that brings together students, alumni, and industry reps for a day of meaningful discussion devoted to both the issues and opportunities facing female engineers.

Building a

Community

“EDP has provided a lot of support for me. I’ve done a lot of their events and gone to several conferences. With them, it’s the little things that matter. Like in the resource room sometimes they’ll have cereal. If I’m feeling down or didn’t get to eat lunch it’s nice to have somewhere where I can find food, it makes a big difference for me.”

Meet Iris.

“Engineering Diversity Programs has been here for students like me who haven’t got it all mapped out and planned, so when you need help with making life decisions concerning internship, class schedules, and opportunities that arise, it’s a home away from home. They’ve been crucial when it came to making those hard decisions.”
