Engineering Vols Receive Diversity Scholarship
The Tickle College of Engineering is proud to announce that 11 out of 64 students across campus to receive the 2021 Marva Rudolph Scholarship are engineering students—ten out of 54 undergraduate students and one out of ten graduate students.
The life and legacy of former Associate Vice Chancellor and Director of the Office of Equity and Diversity Marva Rudolph lives on through recipients of the scholarship award in her honor.
Prior to coming to UT where she was a specialist in affirmative action, Rudolph worked with the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. She was also a graduate of UT, earning a master’s degree in urban planning and a doctorate in political science.
The fund was established in 2014, but this was the first class chosen. View the full list of 2021 recipients.
