Applications and nominations are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in chemical and biomolecular engineering, starting as soon as Fall 2020.
We seek candidates with expertise that will contribute to any of our existing strengths in biomolecular engineering, advanced and soft materials, or sustainable energy and who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials and a vitae that demonstrates the potential to develop a robust research program. A PhD or equivalent doctoral level degree in chemical engineering or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate will develop an independent and collaborative experimental research program and will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in chemical and biomolecular engineering.
Abundant opportunities for extra-departmental collaboration exist, including those within the Tickle College of Engineering and at nearby Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the UT Medical Center, the UT Institute for Agriculture, and the College of Arts and Sciences, providing an outstanding infrastructure for experimental research.
