Candidate Forums for Center for Transportation Research Director
Interviews are scheduled to help determine the Director of the Center for Transportation Research.
Three interviewees will each hold a public forum. All are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom. During each forum, there will be time allotted for Q&A.

Heaslip is a CACI Faculty Fellow, CCI Fellow, and TISE program coordinator. His areas of interest are transportation operations, critical infrastructure and transportation cybersecurity, public transportation, and transportation automation and electrification. His research has been funded by US Department of Energy, Virginia Department of Transportation, and the National Science Foundation.
Heaslip has been published in IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, International Journal of Transportation Cybersecurity and Privacy, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction.

Eksioglu’s research is focused on optimization with applications in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, and healthcare. His research has been sponsored by the US Department of Transportation, the US Department of Homeland Security, NASA, and many others. He is a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, INFORMS, IISE, ASEE, and POMS.
He is published in Computers & Industrial Engineering, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, Computers & Operations Research, and Annals of Operations Research.
Suzanna Long

Long was awarded the Bernard R. Sarchet Award from the American Society of Engineering Management in 2021, the highest honor awarded by the society. She is an IISE Fellow and a Fellow of the American Society of Engineering Management. Her research interests include critical infrastructure systems; strategic management; supply chain and transportation; systems management; organizational behavior; and sociotechnical systems analysis. Long’s research has been funded by US Department of Transportation, Missouri DOT, National Science Foundation, US Department of Education, and US Geological Survey.
She has been published in Sustainability, Natural Hazards Review, Engineering Management Journal, International Journal of Critical Infrastructures, Frontiers of Engineering Management, Data Sciences Journal, International Journal of Geospatial and Environmental Research, Natural Hazards Review, and Research in Transportation Business and Management, among others.
