Moore Named Associate Director for Engineering Diversity Programs
Caitlin Moore joins the Tickle College of Engineering February 1 as associate director for the Office of Engineering Diversity Programs (EDP).
“We welcome Moore to the new associate director’s role to provide more administrative support in improving outreach and recruitment efforts for historically underrepresented populations,” said Travis Griffin, the Fred D. Brown Jr. Director of EDP.
Moore has been with UT’s office of Honors & Scholars since June 2022, and previously served as the recruiting coordinator for the College of Social Work. Before coming to UT, Moore worked in admissions, student services, dual enrollment, and athletics roles in Alabama.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Tickle College of Engineering,” she said. “It is an honor to have been chosen to help lead our diversity and inclusion efforts. The office of Diversity Programs’ breadth of experience, commitment, and engagement in inclusive excellence has greatly impressed me.”
She looks to positively impact Engineering Vols through meaningful connections, engagement, and communication, an approach she has maintained throughout her career—in roles that have also addressed diversity, equity, and inclusion for academics.
“My goal is to foster a vision for inclusion and diversity that ensures all students at TCE can bring their authentic selves to campus daily,” said Moore. “In addition, I will build strong relationships based on integrity, inclusivity, and transparency to promote the valuable work this office does.”
Moore received her BA in communication and political science from Auburn University in 2017 and her MS in strategic communication from Troy University in 2018. She is currently working toward her Doctorate of Education at the University of Memphis. Outside of her profession endeavors, Moore enjoys traveling, sports, and mini-adventures with her dogs, Piper and Coco.
