The names and addresses of three references must be included with the program application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-32fba12e wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements for admission to the Department of Biomedical Engineering include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\">Minimum GPA of 3.00 (some exceptions exist).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\">International students must have at least a \u201cB\u201d average in undergraduate courses from a non-U.S. institute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--xx-small)\">Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL or IELTS test scores. To be fully admitted, applicants must submit a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL; 80 on the TOEFL iBT or 6.5 on the IELTS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in pursuing graduate study, apply through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gradschool.utk.edu\/future-students\/office-of-graduate-admissions\/applying-to-graduate-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graduate Admissions<\/a>. Those students who are already enrolled at UT and want to apply for a Change of Program (COP) are not eligible for this waiver.
