About the Department<\/h1>\n\n\n

We are dedicated to the success of our students, preparing them for immediate integration into the workforce upon graduation by providing academic programs designed around industry needs. Students will take tangible challenges from departmental partners and come up with solutions throughout their academic experience. \u00a0Our department is set up to offer accredited engineering degree programs in areas of high demand for the state and region. Our relationships with industry leaders gives students the chance to work directly with companies on experiential education opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The department will be working closely with an industrial board of advisors to design programs that offer extensive hands-on and relevant experience for students in each focus area. As part of the programs, students will be required to partake in an internship or cooperative education (co-op) experience to fulfill their degree.\u00a0Our students will be able to immediately contribute to the workforce as they will be equipped with the practical skills needed for success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the latest educational technologies, fully equipped labs, and senior design projects, our students will possess a comprehensive skillset tailored to their chosen field at graduation. Through our faculty\u2019s extensive experience in industry, our students leave equipped with the knowledge and skills the they need as they enter the workforce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
