Industry-Ready Graduate Student Series
The Leadership in Engineering and Entrepreneurship Program will be hosting a four-session professional development series for engineering graduate students in Spring 2026. The series is designed to help graduate students feel more confident navigating the expectations, communication norms, and fast-paced environment of industry. The four-part series will provide you with practical, industry-focused tools to help you stand out immediately.
Each session is one hour, highly interactive, and grounded in proven frameworks. Participants will also have access to drop-in office hours for personalized feedback and coaching.
Speaker
Angelique Adams is the Founding Director of the Leadership in Engineering and Entrepreneurship Program, where she leads engineering leadership education and develops programs that strengthen researchers’ communication, collaboration, and industry-engagement skills. As CEO of Angelique Adams Media Solutions, she partners with universities, national laboratories, and innovation programs to deliver leadership development and commercialization readiness training. Adams has a PhD in energy and mineral engineering from Penn State and an MBA from MIT.

How to Deliver Results as an Early-Career Engineer
Industry expects engineers to manage competing priorities, communicate progress proactively, and execute consistently. This session provides a practical toolkit to help you operate with confidence from day one.
You will learn:
- The 3 Levels of Productivity
- How to map your work to industry thinking using the 4P Framework (Purpose, People, Processes, Performance)
- How to structure your weeks for consistent performance
